NEWork Experience

In the first week of May 2022, a successful training week took place. This was organized by multiple European Union located project partners, with the aim to help individuals with a disorder on the autism spectrum to acquire social skills, which enable them to find a job. The training was given by the trainers of each participating country, who made use of different training strategies and energizing exercises.

The 5-days training program took place in Cyprus, with representatives from both trainers, as well as participants from Cyprus, the Netherlands, Latvia, Lithuania, Greece and Romania.

Project objectives were amongst others:

  • Improve recognizing individuals’ talents
  • Improve social skills to find a suitable job
  • Develop a better understanding of individuals with autism
  • Networking

We are proud to have been part of this meaningful international cooperation to support individuals with autism to be better equipped in finding a job. Next to the defined learning objectives, the group of trainers and participants had the opportunity to get to know each other and spending time to do some social activities together.

All participants had a positive and fun experience, the training week concluded with the achievement of the training objectives and a positive takeaway of the experience.
