Young people, as the present actors and future decision-makers in their societies, need to be better informed about global environmental issues and use their intrinsic creativity and energy to contribute to transforming their societies. Young people will play a key role in the transition toward a life-sustaining society, and youth workers can be the facilitators of this process. In this sense, our aim is to prepare youth workers to inform, inspire, motivate and engage young people in environmental active citizenship.
GREEN FOOTPRINTS will gather young people from 8 countries: they will work together for the improvement of the environment in our world. They will have spaces to discuss together the general problems that affect our environment and the possible solutions to tackle them. They will work on various methods of promoting sustainable lifestyle. The national groups will prepare presentations about waste management situation in their country, ways to tackle pollution, organising workshops to raise awareness of other young people some creative way of dealing with the issues.
