Value Differences

Value Differences is when we recognize and respect people who are different from us, but also embrace their differences and learn from them. Here to connect people regardless of race, creed, color, sex, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or identity.

 

The project aims to raise the confidence of young people from deprived areas to express their own positive ideas and show that there are many interesting ways for the actions.

 

The aim is to promote tolerance, respect, and mutual understanding through the artistic expression of cultural, religious, ethnic diversity between youth from different countries.

 

You will be trained on the following topics:

  • democracy values and mutual understanding;
  • Respect differences,
  • Break stereotypes, and create a network;
  • Participants will work in an international team on a street theater performance.

Objectives of the project:

 

  • Creating sensitivity and sensitivity to cultural diversity at the European level and in local communities;
  • Encourage participants to discover their own identity and the identities of the young people they work with within the project;
  • Discover the benefits, added value, and challenges of bringing together young people from different cultural backgrounds and develop the competence of participants to do so;
    • Develop mutual understanding among young people from different cultural backgrounds in order to build bridges between groups and/or create joint activities;
    • Including existing tools;
    • Sharing best practices and experiences;
  • Explore the opportunities offered at local, national, and European levels through the different actions offered by Erasmus Plus youth projects to reach and involve young people from different cultural backgrounds.

There are a few requirements to participate:

 

  • Participants must be at least 18 years old.
  • You must be proficient in the English language
  • You must be living in the Netherlands or be in possession of a Dutch proof of identity.
  • You must be in possession of a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
  • You must be willing to be filmed during the sessions and workshops of the activities
  • And to be a broad-minded person who can work together in a group
