Young migrant women face challenges every single day. Apart from sharing their communities’ struggles, young migrant women systematically face double discrimination simply by virtue of being female and migrants. This includes not only discrimination from non-migrants but also within migrant the communities. Understanding that investing in young migrant women’s inclusion is essential for social changes, for the development of migrant communities and ensuring the rights of migrant women.
Women are considered to be people with a high degree of vulnerability not only in the field of training and employment, but also to raise awareness of equal rights, to overcome cultural stereotypes. For this reason, October 15 was the world day of women for 1.5 billion women around the world and over 5 million in our country. For all these reasons, 8 partners from8 EU and non-EU countries considered that the issue of equal opportunities among migrant women should be debated and promoted by creating new networks and partnerships thatin the future can help to promote and know the principles of equality of chances, which will later lead to the awareness of the rights of persons belonging to vulnerable groups ingeneral and to migrant women in particular.
The main goal of the project is – Creating and developing networks and partnerships between the 8 partners in order to generate at least 4 projects having as main theme the promotion of the principles of equal opportunities and the elimination of discriminatory barriers based on gender.
